OH MY Goodness. I can't believe I found this web site. At the time my name was Laury Casey. I used to go summer camping in the late 60's & early 70's. I remember some of the people I met there. My best friend at the time was Linda Smith she was from Arlington, OR. Then there was Tim Lanterman & Steve Jones. Jones was from Heppner, OR. I don't know where Tim was from. We had such a good time the 4 of us. We remained friends and kept in touch for almost 10 years.
Oh the memories are flooding back now. The rec room was made of wood & had a beautiful front porch. There was a record player and we would sing & dance. There was a leather craft area where we tooled leather bracelets for each other. I still have the one Steve made for me. (somewhere) I remember coming together at the end of day in a big circle and singing, "Now the day is over, night is falling nye, Shadows of the evening fall across the sky". I am 50 years old now & have tears in my eyes just thinking of COVE. What wonderful memories I always will treasure.
